Charity Bike Rides raises funds for
JOLE RIDER's Bikes4Africa.
This bike events site features a selection of fantastic road cycling, mountain biking and touring events in the UK,
Europe and the rest of the world.
From our carefully selected list of exciting bike adventures and cycle touring events, choose the one that gets your adrenalin pumping! They all help African children get to school. As well as the challenge and the fun you will have taking part in a Charity Bike Ride, your support for Bikes4Africa will unlock a child's future.
Bikes4Africa gets children in Africa to school by delivering bikes to school in rural areas where walking was the only option. Children can have walks of up to 3 hours in each direction to reach their nearest school, and the education they deserve and crave. Having a bike makes that journey so much easier, enabling them to arrive on time, fit and ready for a day of learning. For some, with even longer walks, it makes the journey to education possible.
Along with raising money for, and running, the Bikes4Africa programme, the UK charity JOLE RIDER also partners The MakeTrax Revolution. This is a new project about cycling: road cycling, touring and mountain biking. It enables people to share their personal story about why they ride their bike, where they cycle to work, and how they have fun on bikes of all types.
|The JOLE RIDER COTSWOLD SPORTIVE
Sep 2017 [Sun24]
A non-competitive cycling challenge with a choice of 5 routes: 30, 50, 70, 90 or 100 miles.
All rides start and finish at the fabulous Westonbirt Estate, home of the famous school for girls, comprising the prestigious house set in expansive and glorious parkland.
Finishing riders will be entered into a prize draw to win a holiday.
The Cotswolds is well known for its beautiful countryside, gentle wolds, tranquil river valleys, water meadows, beech woods and limestone villages. The rides are centred just outside the historic market town of Tetbury which is rapidly becoming Gloucestershire's centre of cycling. A mix of flatlands, rolling hills and sharp escarpments makes this area ideal for an all-comers one day bike ride such as the JOLE RIDER.
Fundraising for this event is welcomed but optional. Entry fees, and optional funds raised, go to JOLE RIDER'S Bikes4Africa programme.
